It takes me awhile to associate a map name with the map itself. So, after I play a really good (or bad) map, I can't remember the next day what it's name was!
Maybe we can slow down and get used to the old-new maps for a couple weeks so we can all digest which ones are the good ones? well my policy is i like to add a bunch that atleast look cool, cause if u dont take a chance, you'll never find a gem among the rough. Then I try to sort out the overtly shitty ones, just leaving the good ones for votes, THEN you can get use to them. BTW i count on ur opinions on the spreadsheet in addition to my own! So grab ur pen and paper (cause i, like you, cant remember shit) and write down after a round "this map sucks", "want more of this", and put it on the spreadshit.

 Re: Recomendations
Problem is with too many maps at once is:
1) you don't play them enough times to form an accurate opinion (you never get beyond LEARNING the map)
2) some people don't get a chance to play them before someone else decides it's good or bad - so you never get to say
We should do new maps monthly or something. Then play them frequently for a week, and randomly thereafter to determine if they're good. Then add more once that batch is done. There can be a lot to absorb in some of those maps.

 Re: Recomendations
Personally, I like to play a map 3 times before I pass judgment. Tat way I get a chance to look at it new, and learned, as well as with several groups of people large and small
I took pen&paper notes on what I played earlier this week, and when I play those maps again twice more, then it'll get to the spreadsheet. The other thing to try and do than new maps once a month, is to get as many people on for "New Map Tuesday" as possible, and we fill the server with regulars and we play only new maps all night, that way we can get 2 or 3 impressions of a map within a short span of time (including other days than "Tuesday") and we could sort things out at a faster rate.

CP GlacierGravelpit style. very pretty looking. they're onto Alpha 22, so in theory it's almost done, or at least the guy is willing to listen to input.

 Re: Recomendations
clearing up my tabs. i know we have a ton of new maps already >< but in my defense they keep putting out really neat ones! CTF HAARPPLR AnimusPL Floodgatebtw, i tend to look at ctf, pl, some plr and cp a/d maps as they are my preferred game modes. if someone omg wants more arena, koth or cp 5point maps lemme know, or go look for some yourself
